Welcome to Friday’s Loose Bloggers post, As you can see we are discussing Risk. So take a risk and visit other writers on this subject. They are listed on the right of my blog under Writers Consortium.
This is Mommy T to my grandchildren, the love of my daughter’s life, and my friend. Theresa still rides competitively and inspite of some serious drawbacks, she still takes risks. At first when I met her, I did not understand someone who would continue a sport so risky. Theresa taught me the importance of taking risks and I know now that she rides because to ride is to risk. Risk is what keeps her living life as she wants to live it. Thank you, Theresa for helping me understand the importance of risk-taking.
I totally get where Theresa is coming from. Nice post, Maria!
I am so glad that I listened to her and learned this special aspect of risk.
How cool is that? Great pic too. Merry Xmas to you Maria….and your wonderful family. ~Joy xo
Merry Christmas to you, too. I hope you continue with blogging through the New Yearl
Your friend is an adventurer, Maria. My son rode dirt bikes at 12yrs old, not a risk I would take but his dad I supported him.
You were able to learn about risk through Theresa and that’s a good thing.
Blessings ~ Maxi
I bet Theresa and I will get along very well together!
Impressive! Thanks for sharing, Maria Mx
I think that people who don’t take risks are thinking that if they don’t risk, they won’t have to experience any disappointments. But I think being human is, in itself, a risk, and the disappointments come anyway. So we might as well enjoy the ride and stop worrying about risks!
Once was enough for me, too. What I learned from Theresa though was to see risk through her eyes and that in itself was a wonderful gift.
I have taken many risks in my life time, but once on the back of a motorbike was more than enough for me.
