Friday has rolled around and gone so I am late with my post for the Loose Bloggers Consortium’s views on Relaxation. The emphasis of this group is on Loose so I will simply relax and not apologize for my delinquent behavior.
R Reading a good book while curled up under a soft blanket.
E Easing my tired body into a hot tub for a quiet soak.
L Listening with my eyes closed to the ocean waves advancing on a sandy beach.
A A time of solitude on a mountain trail.
X Xylophonic sounds of mourning doves as I work in the garden.
A A peaceful moment of meditation in a candle-lit chapel.
T The feeling of warmth that comes with holding hands with a loved one.
I In the morning, blessed moments sipping coffee and watching the sunrise.
O Obliging old dog whose contentment reminds me to ‘”Live in the Moment”.
N No need to rush, no schedules calling, no goals to meet.
RELAXATION is just another word for RETIREMENT.
Please visit the LBC writers listed on the right hand side of my blog under Consortium Writers. They always have delightful approaches to the subject of the week.
Love this post…I’m learning to relax more too sweetie. I’m getting pretty good at it….on the borderline of lazy. Hugs, Joy
Your blog is wonderful with your new format. Maybe not so new. I haven’t been looking at blogs because I have so much time spent on maintenance, on me not the house.
I LOVE all the pictures & the big print. ...the whole thing. The captcha code is simple (like me) & I don’t need powerful lenses to read it.
I want to do more of this thing called RELAXATION. OOOOOOOH I probably do too much of it already.
Brilliant and beautiful.
Great job, Maria. I’m ready to doze off just reading about these relaxation moments.
Blessings Maxi
Oh yes, the sound of the dove is very relaxing! I’m glad you included this, because I might not have thought of it.
I have an old mattress that sags in the middle and rolls Bob and me closer together at night. Not a bad deal.
For me, exercise keeps the muscle tone up and the pain at bay. As Grannynar says getting consecutive sleep is the problem.
I feel very relaxed after reading your post, Maria.
Thank you.
