I spent a wonderful lazy Sunday afternoon watching INLAWS AND OUTLAWS, a Drew Emery film. I found it on PBS and it is worth a TV or Netflix search to find and watch this great documentary recognizing and affirming love and marriage.
Heartwarming and soulful are my two favorite words for describing these poignant stories and I found myself connecting emotionally with the characters and the realization that we all (young/old, black/white, straight/gay) share a need to love and be loved.
I was not only fascinated by the movie, but I fell in love with a jazz singer by the name of Felicia Loud. It is her beautiful renditions of classical jazz songs that wind their way through the vignettes and connect the stories of the ins and outs, ups and downs of love.
I am including this video of Felicia Loud from the documentary and includes photos from Inlaws and Outlaws. Love this woman’s voice.
